Greetings! My name is Scott (which apparently is a very common name in the pinewood community) and I live in SE Wisconsin. I'm a Research and Development Chemist at an aerosol paint company. I got involved in derby racing when Zeebzob absolutely destroyed the competition at a local race in 2009. I had been interested in racing for a year or so, but had decided that proxy racing wasn't for me. I built a car for the local race (a 3 wheel straight runner), using the best tools and knowledge available to me...and came in 19th out of 57 After speaking with Zeebzob, it sounded like proxy racing was going to be the only way to get faster and be able to race on a regular basis...so I bought a few tools and sent in a car. If memory serves, I just barely beat Zeebzob by 0.001 seconds ;D. After investing in a track, some new tools and lubes...I'm happy to say I'm still mid-pack...but on the 'national' level This year, I used my newfound pinewood knowledge to assist 3 coworkers in building first place cars for their pack races...a trend which I hope continues

MGH, Being mid pack in league racing is really not a bad thing. There are some really really hardcore guys on here. I am betting one or two of these guys might have sold their souls! LMAO! Oh, don't get me wrong Evolution...I'm quite proud of my mid-pack status ;D...but just once I'd like to crack the top 5. Maybe if all the hardcore enthusiasts' cars were lost in shipping I could have a shot
