Where are you guys pulling your information from to compile this list? I am new to the pinewood derby forums and just gathering information before trying to compete against the best builders around the USA.
Thank you, FRR

FRR the proxy world is down to two different leagues as Evolution said. Both run races each month.
1. PWDRacing which is held in Ohio and run by Evolution who just replied. They run 8 to 9 different race classes depending upon the month.
2. NPWDRL which is held in 3 different locations; Utah, Kentucky and South Carolina. They run different race classes. Some of the racers are on teams, and I am not sure how that all works.
Both allow builders to watch live on the internet via streaming video or builders are welcome to attend live.
There are a few independent races which happen throughout the year and we honor those results as well. These races are not the local pack/district race. We have links on the main page as well as a section for upcoming derby events.
Thanks for joining up here and jumping into the conversation! Anything we can do for you, please just ask!

Thank you MSP and Evolution for your replies! I am not a member of their forum but I heard there is another league call the PDDR. Do you all take their results into your rankings?
Thank you!

There is a league called the PDDR and they used to race out of Utah. They have posted a schedule for league racing for this year, however they have no results publicly posted. In February there was discussion of a league race however the entire thread and its postings were deleted. Their results went from being public information for all who would visit their forum, to being placed in a password protected area their members can not access. March 24th there was supposed to be another league race, however there is no discussions taking place about it anywhere on their forum, and the results section which is password protected still only has 1 thread posted.
At this time there are only the 2 leagues stated above which still hold live monthly races. If there are others out there I do not know about, well, I would like to know about and I believe the builders would like to know of other venues to test their skills.

Kinser is the best.........he is #1!
Or did you mean which league? I think it depends on what classes you like to run? There is a larger variety at PWDR.........8 vs 4....I think you will find great racing at both venues, just different! Some people like vanilla some chocolate! ;D

The Global Top 10 seen on the main page of the forum and then a section in the forum is our calculated standings based on the league results. Other websites have standings for their league races. You will find quality racing at both PWDRacing and NPWDRL. There are a few builders who race both venues. Of course everyone will have their own opinion of who is the best and where the best place to race. (Some smart a$$ phrase about opinions.) Ultimately it is about racing toy wooden cars, so just enjoy yourself. Sorry to see you delete your account here Mr. E, after posting. Good luck to you.

Some of the racers are on teams, and I am not sure how that all works. The NPWDRL team racing is independent of individual racing. Here's Some information from DD4H forums: There will be 12 teams with the participants drafted onto teams. 12 captains will be chosen and then a draft order will be determined. The draft will be a snake draft. There will be 4 events. May 5th, June 30th, Sep 1st, Championship Nov 3rd (for the top 8 teams). The events will be separate from the individual events. Cost: $30 per person. That will cover all the events. You will have to cover shipping costs by providing a PREPAID return label to affix to the box. This does not mean a hand written, it is a printed label from USPS.com. The entry fees will cover trophies and prizes to the champions. I will donate product to give as prizes. The entry fees will also cover running the event, setting up a website and posting results and videos of the events. Event structure: It will be a bracket (NCAA Style) setup where teams will face off head to head with the winner moving on. A match will consist of each teams cars getting 2 runs in each lane and total lowest time of all cars will win the match. Winner will move on. Pairings for the event will be drawn from a hat to make it fair for all teams. Each team will receive 10 points for each match victory for the first round and 15 points for a second round going up 5 points with each higher round victories and 25 bonus points for winning the event. The point total will be tracked to see who qualifies for the championships. Classes: Street Stock, Street Pro, Eliminator, Unlimited Team requirements: Each team will enter 1 car for each class. The cars MUST be painted and decaled with team colors and logos. This is a team effort so all members need to be involved in the build process. The idea behind this is for the team cars to be separate from individual cars.
